My cookies weren’t small and I got about 85 cookies out of this recipe. See below.

 Cookies for Christmas 2010

#1 − If you don’t have brown sugar

Use the following (CDKitchen):

“For each 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar called for in a recipe, use 1 ½ tablespoons molasses plus 1 cup granulated sugar.”

#1 − Translation for the Swiss

baking soda ist Natron
eine 9x5 loaf pan ist eine kleine Cake Form
350 sind 175°C

and it tastes so good!

Are you sure you can change the cheeses just like that? Won’t the Swiss Navy come and get you?

Of late, the recipe has moved more toward 3 equal portions of the cheeses. Also, if Appenzeller is not available, a sharp white cheddar is a decent substitute.
