Exporting Libraries

TuneSync exports its data right back into the iTunes XML file format, either to a separate file or directly back to iTunes. You have fine-grained control over exactly which data is written back to these files.

Choosing What to Export

At the beginning of each line in the Song List is a checkbox. This indicates whether the settings for that song will be exported or not. If a song is not checked, it will be written with its original values to the output file.

You can select multiple entries and use "Ctrl + Space" to toggle them all at once.

Exporting to File

You can export a library to file at any time. In general, you should just export right back to the file from which you loaded the library, so TuneSync automatically uses the most recent version the next time it loads the project. If you export to file, you'll have to import manually into iTunes. If the library is from the same machine as the one on which TuneSync is running, you can import with TuneSync.

Exporting to iTunes

Getting iTunes to use the new library isn't as simple as replacing the XML file and restarting iTunes. There are two ways to replace this library successfully: let TuneSync do it for you or do it by hand.
