Jimmy Carter Turns Communist

Published by marco on

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter is visiting Cuba over the next five days and has been heartily welcomed by Cuban President Fidel Castro. The Newsday reports in Like Old Friends… that his visit is ostensibly to talk privately about Cuba’s human-rights record, but is also being interpreted in the usual rhetoric from all sides of the political spectrum. Of particular interest to many is the lifting of the almost 50 year old economic U.S.-led Western embargo of Cuba.

Recent statements by the Bush administration have accused Cuba of developing biological weapons. I’m not kidding. Carter, however:

“… will have unrestricted access to staff and facilities at Havana’s Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Center, which the Bush administration has suggested is developing possible biological warfare programs, Castro said. The White House has released a Statement…Regarding…Carter’s Conversion to Communism in response. He addresses:

“… the possibility that [Carter’s] inherently treasonous activities in Cuba may nevertheless be spun by the liberal-controlled American media as a diplomatic triumph, which when contrasted to the never-ending string of major foreign relations blunders committed by the current administration over the last fourteen months, will make yours truly look plenty retarded. It is for this reason that today, in addition to leaking “intelligence” reports that impoverished Cuba is producing biological weapons, I am announcing the revocation of President Carter’s citizenship, and ordering that his return flight be rerouted to Camp X-Ray…”
