When Gartner issued their recommendation that companies stop using IIS (see forum posting), Microsoft responded that other vendors, notably Apache, also had security problems. It's like saying that it doesn't matter whether you buy a Toyota Camry or a Russian Lada, because you will eventually have to service it.</q></span> Go to the <a href="http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/35/21967.html">Register article</a> for a list of the bugs Microsoft pointed out and a response on each one. Only one of the bugs was an actual bug in Apache and it was fixed in April 2001.
