CNN Reports Actual Fact About Middle East

Description

The video below is interesting and starts off strong, though the lengths a CNN anchor feels he has to go to in order to report a fact that runs counter to the standard received wisdom are ridiculous. Once the facts have been presented, however, the co-anchor (you'll forgive me for not having noted the names of what looked like two guys transported from Monday Night Football to the news desk) ignores them and plows forward with more-or-less the standard line. After one more attempt to get an acknowledgment of the new information, the initial reporter is forced to agree that things are pretty "murky" in the Middle East. Indeed. <media src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KntmpoRXFX4" caption="CNN Finally Confirms Israel Broke Ceasefire First" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KntmpoRXFX4" author="" source="YouTube" align="center" class="frame"> At any rate, it's better than the typical flag-waving for Israel. At the very least, there was doubt, if only for a second. It's a chink in the propaganda armor. Especially cute was the disparagement of the Guardian as a reliable source, presumably because it's foreign. U.S.A.! U.S.A.!
