FAQ

How do I change the iTunes libraries that are loaded by a project?
Go to File > Properties... in the main menu to view and/or edit the properties for the current project. See creating a New Project for more information.

Why does TuneSync warn me about exporting my library to iTunes?
TuneSync determines whether a library is locally available by checking the filename of the first song it loads. If it can't find this song, it will assume that the library is from another computer. To fix this problem, make sure that the first song in the iTunes library (as saved in the XML file) exists on the local computer. In either case, if you're sure that the library is from the same computer, you can safely ignore the warning.

When can I export libraries? Only at the end?
You can export libraries at any time. Think of it as saving the current state of that library (or both libraries). If you save it right back to the same file from which you loaded it, you can just open the project at a later time to pick up where you left off.

How do I recover my libary if I've moved songs around?
If you're using OS X, you probably don't understand this question because iTunes on OS X doesn't lose track of songs just because you moved them around. However, Windows users or OS X users who've moved songs to a different hard drive or network drive may end up with an iTunes that just can't find anything anymore. For larger libraries, fixing up each reference by hand in iTunes is a royal pain.

There is another way:

How to I import a library to a new machine?
Essentially, you've just moved the library to a new location. Follow the instructions for moving songs (above).

TuneSync is matching songs that are not the same. How do I prevent this?
It sounds like you're using the default matching options for libraries that aren't statistically very similar. See Matching More Carefully for instructions on how to optimize matching in this case.

What if neither library has the correct value for a song or songs?
Not only can you Synchronize songs, but you can also edit certain values, like Name, Artist, Album or Genre.

Why aren't all of my changes being exported back to iTunes?
Make sure that the Export Status check-box is set for all of the songs you want to export; TuneSync only exports data for the marked songs.
